Matisyahu w/ the Wailers

I'm going to see Matisyahu with the Wailers as support at Ravinia in Highland Park on Thursday. For those who don't know about Matisyahu (but should), he is a Hasidic Jewish reggae singer, rapper, and beat box artist. The Wailers are Bob Marley's old band. I've seen both acts in concert. I saw Matisyahu at Lollapalooza two years ago and then last summer when he was the main support for 311 at the Charter One Pavilion at Northerly Island. I loved both his performances and really look forward to seeing him again at Ravinia. I also saw the Wailers perform for the first time at the end of 2007 when they opened for Umphrey's McGee at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. The majority of the songs they played were Marley songs, which happen to be my favorite kind of song! Anyway, I really look forward to seeing Matisyahu and the Wailers this Thursday, especially because I've heard Matis could be playing a few classic Marley songs with the Wailers (like he did at Langarado), or so I've heard from Andy over at FestivalCrashers.com
